Skiing In The Monadnock Region

The Monadnock Region offers many trails and out of the way areas perfect for cross country skiing. You'll usually find snow from late November or early December until late March to play in. What you won't find are long lines and crowded trails. In fact, many cross country skiers, and snowshoers simply head off on one of the many hiking trails to enjoy the woods.

If you prefer to ski on groomed trails, we have several facilities that maintain their trails and rent equipment. You can even take lessons.

For those who prefer downhill skiing, we have Granite Gorge and Crotched Mountain Ski area to choose from. Below is a listing of facilities offering skiing in Southwest New Hampshire.
